Hungry Ghost Coffee Bar and Cafe

The Hungry Ghost Coffee Bar and Cafe, is a community space where people can meet up for coffee and food with friends or simply grab something quickly on their way to the subway.

What are you hungry for? The question that fuels the very advances we have taken for granted. Hungry Ghost encourages you to slow down, have a cup of coffee with something savory or sweet and re-discover the world around you.

It is a space with a unique character that wanted to honor the ghosts and history of the location in Brooklyn. The identity created was meant to play with the layered and complex textures of life and within the community. The "ghost" is infused into the very building and creates an identity that is constantly changing and shifting with the customer's own interaction with the collaterals like the placemats, business cards, menus and promotional materials.

The Hungry Ghost Coffee Bar and Cafe, uses various phrases and community stories to connect with the customers and engage them in a dialogue. A conversation piece that continues to haunt them long after they have walked away from the Hungry Ghost.
