Rockets is an Argentinian-born DJ and producer who has played at venues around the world. On this occasion, he commissioned a graphic piece to announce his first international tour, which included multiple shows in New York, Miami and Buenos Aires.

For this work, a very urban / nocturnal aesthetic, coupled with y2k reminiscence were chosen as main inspiration.

After heavily distorting and digitally colorizing an image of a subway station (in Photoshop) to serve as the base, the bulk of the design (meaning all of the elements above the image) was made in Illustrator. As the final step, the SVG was imported again into Photoshop to visually merge it to the initial image and apply the finishing touches.

The phrase "TAKE-OFF TOUR" was devised in an effort to tie-in the naming of the tour to a conceptual rocketship, deriving from the artist's name. In the same vein, the Japanese text above "ROCKETS" reads as follows: "Rockets - Ready For Liftoff".
