Doner Kebab Restaurant

The Shopfront
This assignment required me to collaborate with a team to design a doner kebab restaurant for the owner of Kream Restaurant. He is a German-Turkish man who wishes to embrace his heritage.

He intended the facility to appeal to Pretoria's student community with the convenience of fast food restaurants. Customers can sit alone or in big groups thanks to the various seating configurations available. A wash basin was necessary since doner meals are messy and need cleaning after eating.

The Condiments Station
According to Collins Dictionary (2023), a doner is a fast-food dish that comprises grilled meat and serves pitta bread salad with chili sauce. The food has Turkish spice and marinated yogurt seasoning. In the shape of an inverted cone, the kebab includes a variation of lamb, beef, or chicken pieces (Give Recipe, 2021). These foods have become inexpensive, delicious to the taste buds, and easy to order with the right combination for a great late-night snack (SKH, 2023).

The concept of a Doner Kebab restaurant is unfamiliar to South Africans. Doner kebab restaurant will debut in South Africa, drawing inspiration from its origins in Germany and Turkey. The restaurant design should reflect both German and Turkish influences, as well as the South African character.
The color palette is influenced by the German flag, with red, yellow, and black, as well as orange and yellow, in South African culture. To create a welcoming environment for customers, employ natural colors and textures.

The restaurant's design incorporates South African patterns and textures. The characteristics include walls, plants, colorful seating, decorative brick, and round ring pendant lights above the booths.
