This collection is from 2009 and won 5th place in a national fashion design competion. The theme behind it was the concept of Slow Fashion so I drew my inspiration from the Romanian traditional wear that was all done by hand, or on a weaving loom, from natural fibers hand-died and sourced locally. I also looked into the processes of making fabrics and natural dies, and techniques like crochet, knitting, weaving, cross-stitching, embroidery and hand-sewing everything. I still enjoy looking at these designs and I still wish to make this collection come to life one day.
