I designed a cover for the wires that would go up and to the boiler.

Two cut-outs have been made where the pipes pass through.

I applied Hem folds to the back board where the Hob would to make it smooth for safety while handling and also to provide some more strength as the material is 1mm thick and to be made from the same sheet as the work tops keeping cost down.

An extra fold at the front keeps the work top secure to the wood. drilling in holes to the sides and back keeps the metal secure but also aesthetic as these screws wont be seen.
