Lab Assistant Bear

Lab Assistant Bear
Lab Assistant Bear is a small stuffed animal wearing a handmade shirt and hat sporting the logo usual lab assistants wear on their uniform shirts. The logo was applied to the fabric using DTF printing and the hat and shirt were both sewn on a machine. The purpose of this project was to further better my sewing skills and to start out experimenting with DTF printing. Since this project was so small, there was minimal risk of failure which allowed me to focus on both functionality and aesthetics.
Here are the scrap materials used for the project. A stuffed bear, some pink fabric, scissors, thread, needles, DTF printing paper, and a white crayon.
Here are the steps it took to construct the outfit for the bear. First, I chose a logo and edited the size of it to be 2 inches in length, then printed it onto a piece of fabric. I did this twice to accommodate both the shirt and the hat. Next, I began outlining the shirt and had with white crayon to make patterns for cutting and sewing. Then I sewed said patterns together and modeled them on the bear.
