Typographic experiment Prize @Cele mai frumoase carti, Romania, 2014

 

Robin and Lucienne are the pioneers of modern design, him as an industrial designer and her as a textile designer. They had the same interests, shared the same studio, yet they worked separately; only 2 times did they manage to work together. Thus the book layout is split in two, which are united in the middle with a common interview of the couple. The text runs from large to small in order to place the reader into the lives of the two artists. Part one is a sampler of drapes and colors and part two is structured as a product catalogue.

 

Binding: The album binding is done through side punching, being widely used in making photography albums. This type of binding is sometimes applied on the paper folding line.
