The Palestine International Book Fair, organized by the Ministry of Culture, embraces a theme focused on embodying the essence of Palestine and the joy of reading. In crafting my artwork, I drew inspiration from a previous design by the Ministry, aiming to capture the Palestinian spirit while emphasizing the significance of literature in the upcoming event.
At the Palestine International Book Fair, the Ministry of Culture wanted a mix of visuals and text, including slogans. My design balances both. Highlighting the importance of text by incorporating writings on the book page.
The first design showed pigeons flying toward the slogan inside the pages, using soft pastel colors to highlight the book and gate. After Ministry feedback, the final design used brighter colors and shifted focus outward. We also added extra text lines as requested, creating a design we all agreed on.
This design was used widely in Palestine, appearing on billboards, LED screens, flyers, bookmarks, posters, booklets, roll-ups, and social media. It's flexible, fitting various sizes and formats, for a strong presence across different channels.
