Don Oscart Champaign

The Don Oscart House
Don Oscart is a prestige alcohol company that specialises in the making of champagne.
The main offices are based in Lubumbashi, in the Haut-Katanga region of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
We have created the first vintage champagne that belongs to a Congolese family and is
bottled in France.
The Don Oscart House was founded in 2021 and has an increasing client base in both South Africa and in the Democratic Republic of
Congo. The intention is to eventually have a world wide mark as we push the narrative of African prominence and quality champaign, celebrated across the spectrum of class.
Our saying is: A rich, cultural, and elegant heritage.
Don Oscart is a family story, the product was developed by three generations from
the southeast of the Democratic Republic of Congo because of this history and
tradition, the Don Oscart house aims to make a continued legacy of heritage in the quality of the brand and drink.
Our product is part of the Paul Berthelot collection, a champagne house founded in
1884. This estate has 16 hectares of vineyards between Dizy and Avenay, classified as
premier cru, and offers several unique varieties. We have a high environmental
certification because we take good care of our preservation conditions.
Our Products
The Don Oscart House offers three varieties of champagne, namely:
DON OSCART BRUT
DON OSCART ROSÉ
DON OSCART BLANC DE BLANCS

Brut Champagne
This is the all-around champagne, suitable for every
occasion and various dishes. The dosage gives the brut its unique character.
By adding the expedition liqueur, Don Oscart regains all its distinctiveness.
Brut Don Oscart Champagne combines Chardonnay and Pinot, the two
main grape varieties allowed in the Champagne region. During the dosage
process, the brut champagne receives a slightly sweetened liqueur, giving it
a different aroma based on its sugar content. Brut champagne is among the
least sweet types, with less than 7 grams per liter.
Brut champagne is the most well-known and pairs well with fish, seafood,
and poultry. Thanks to its low sugar content, it can even be served as an
aperitif.

Don Oscart Rosé Champagne
Crafted by blending 25% Chardonnay, 60%
Pinot Noir, and a small proportion of 15% red champagne wine. This follows
a specific Champagne technique, making it the only champagne that can be
produced using this method. The champagne is recognisable by its light
aromas and its orange-pink robe.
Often associated with femininity and sweet flavours, this champagne has a
character of its own, somewhat resembling white champagne. However, it
stands out with its distinctive fragrance.
The Rosé color develops during maceration when the juice comes into
contact with the grape skins. Rosé is perfect for an aperitif and pairs well
with fruity desserts. It also complements savoury flavours, especially when
young. As it ages, its color may take on golden hues.

The Blanc de Blanc Champagne
Exclusively crafted from the white
Chardonnay grape. This sets it apart as a standout feature, considering that,
typically, champagne is a blend of various grape varieties from different
years. Recognisable by its aromas and the crystal-clear pale yellow color of
its robe.
Renowned for its delicacy and elegance, Blanc de Blanc Champagne is
perfect for the aperitif and is considered the most refined and freshest. It
has the potential to age gracefully for up to a decade.
In the champagne market, Blanc de Blancs stands out for its ability to age
well over time.
