Concept: The new space
 
Georges Rousse takes his inspiration from a specific space, deconstructing it in different layers which show an image similar to anamorphosis. He works directly in a chosen space, painting simple geometric shapes on different levels of a building. He creates a new space, an imaginative one.

Taking all his 3 spaces in consideration (the real on, the utopic and the new one), I created a layout in which appears a real space (the general disposal of the elements in page), an utopic one (the paper cut-outs) through you can see the third space, the new one. The title of each chapter is positioned in different styles and in different sizes, in an dinamic way. The body text and the marginal notes intersect, creating a new space as well.

For the exterior design of the book I've chosen the continuous binding in the interior of a signature, with loops fixed on flush strings, in order to combine two spaces.

This is book no. 4, followed by 3 more exemples that show the perfect relathionship between content, type of binding, typography, layout, cover, phisiognomy.
