my role I worked for Unu Motors mainly as a 3D CAD modeler and designer. Using my production and molding expertise, I served as a mediator between the technical and design teams to harmonize the technical aspects of the scooter’s frame with the design aspirations of the scooter’s outer shell design.
From A to anywhere with anyone

“We started with the belief that movement is freedom and wanted anyone who knows the joy of riding a bicycle also to experience the unrestricted freedom of traversing the city fast and clean. The Unu Scooter results from a unique melding of form, function, and usability, created with the core intention of helping people navigate the complexities of moving around the city. And outmaneuver the urban chaos with simplicity and ease.” Unu Motors

The Unu 2 is a smart electric scooter that has been redesigned and upgraded with a new battery and motor. It comes with two LG-made, removable Lithium batteries that offer a city driving range of 100 kilometers and have a new design with an accessible charging station. The scooter also boasts a large seat that can accommodate two people and hold various items such as helmets, batteries, a backpack, and a laptop. When connected to a smartphone, the scooter provides a touch screen display with features such as navigation, anti-theft, and the ability to share the scooter with friends and family through temporary keys.

“Timeless and useful design that evokes a sense of harmony. This idea is at the heart of the design of the new Unu Scooter.” UNU
Working closely with the UNU team, my biggest challenge was to sustain the “simplicity” of the “Timeless and useful design” conceptual idea through various abridging manufacturing methods.
