Objective: Engage in the design challenge of crafting an interactive website that not only showcases the picturesque beauty of Bermuda but also sets itself apart in a competitive landscape.
Fly High Media (FHM) gracefully unfolded the island's wonders to Bermudians through a drone's lens, capturing the essence of year-round events such as regattas, concerts, and outdoor festivals. Faced with the task of establishing a formidable online presence, FHM aimed to carve its distinct identity amidst three other independently run drone photography companies.
Boasting an Instagram account celebrated for its awe-inspiring imagery, FHM recognized the missing piece: a website and brand experience that harmonized with their visual narrative. In the realm of drone photography, where the vibrancy of aerial vistas truly comes to life on a grand visual scale, FHM sought to enhance the appreciation of their captivating content through an immersive online platform.
Result: Devise a website with a minimalist aesthetic, strategically placing photography at the forefront to captivate users and draw them into the enchanting allure of Bermuda's beauty.
Crafted to optimize visual impact, the website prioritized a minimal approach for menus and buttons within a pristine white framework. This design choice aimed to dedicate the maximum screen space to showcase the captivating vistas of Bermuda.
FHM's landing page featured a compelling video—a continuous loop capturing the rhythmic breaking of waves on one of Bermuda's renowned beaches. The seamless repetition of the video proved enchanting, leaving viewers entranced by the waves without realizing the passage of time. The landing page's remarkable average idle time of nearly five minutes underscored the exceptional quality of FHM's photographers and videographers, highlighting their ability to produce stunning, high-resolution visuals.
