Created and used on the Cardiff City eShot to promote the UEFA Super Cup Final at Cardiff City Stadium for 2014 between Seville and Real Madrid. I wanted to go for a clean, washed out, simple but effective look
A main design theme for the 2014/15 Cardiff City season, which you will see used in other artwork - in particular the programme cover. The idea is to visualise the two key elements and colours at the club, illustrated by two primary blocks
Again, the two blocks and icons are used here for a quick Cardiff City widescreen desktop fixtures wallpaper
WORK IN PROGRESS, draft mode concept for the Cardiff City programme cover for 2014/15, using a placement test photo of South Korean international squad member Kim Bo-Kyung from the previous season. This is where the block theme originated - the blocks set to rotate and change in the background each issue for variety.

Following on from the 2013/14 cover style from collegue Neil Williams, a dark concept, I wanted something brighter and vibrant and came up with this format. The main action shot is washed out and values pushed, with a burnt mask above the character to offset the white border. I'll post the actual cover once it's completed. Hopefully supporters will enjoy the results.
Just for fun, a concept opening spread artwork featuring football legend Ian Rush of Wales
The actual 2014/15 CF11 programme cover, issue 02 v Wigan, featuring Mats Møller Dæhli. Minor changes were made following positive feedback on the original concept ideas (above). Pretty happy with the results.
