Camp Jireh Community BBQ - Invite

Going into this design I wanted to create something that would stand out, but also communicate a friendly tone. This is an invite for a community barbecue, so I wanted to choose colors and fonts that fit the time of year and the community atmosphere. I also wanted to utilize the typography to draw the viewer’s eye throughout the design, but first to the most important phrase.To accomplish this I used an edgy, artistic/geometric font for the “You’re Invited” heading, complimenting it with a bold, clear font for the event heading and event information. I used a calm, yet attention calling blue for the background and used lighter shade of the background blue and white for the text to create a bolder contrast within this design.
