BRIEF The project was to redefine and reimagine the master suite of a business couple in the medical industry, within a 5.5Mx7.2M sized room, housing the bedroom, en-suite bathroom and walk in wardrobe. The client insisted upon having a room that gave them a sense of tranquility after a day at work. They insisted upon having well-planned artificial lighting that was not too harsh, floor to ceiling height sliding door opening out into the view they have from the top most floor with leisure indoor as well as outdoor seating.
COLOUR PALETTE
THE 60--30--10 RULE OF INTERIOR DESIGN
The 60% of Dominating color are the varying shades and hues of brown, the 30% secondary color complementing the dominant color is shades of Grey along with the 10% accent color of orange and gold to add the pop in the aesthetic.
In meticulously curating the color palette for a personal sanctuary, such as a bedroom, neutral hues and shades of brown were deliberately chosen to evoke a profound psychological response from occupants.
These earthy tones, thoughtfully balanced with both artificial and natural light sources, establish a tranquil ambiance conducive to relaxation and comfort.
The grounding effect of the browns instills a sense of stability, while the neutral tones promote serenity and balance.
Understanding the transformative influence of these colors on mood and perception, the design aims to create a space that fosters mental well-being and rejuvenation, ensuring a haven where occupants can unwind and recharge amidst the demands of everyday life
LEISURE SEATING
This seating area has its furniture carefully chosen to match the neutral aesthetic of the room, to also act as a cozy corner that also induces itself as a working spot.
The dim yet ample lighting ensures that there is no glare for working, reading or resting and this is achieved through a mix of floor lights and down lights.
FEATURES
In this meticulously curated bedroom, every feature has been thoughtfully chosen to create a serene and luxurious retreat. The king-size bed serves as the focal point, offering comfort and elegance. Leisure armchairs positioned strategically near the floor-to-ceiling height sliding windows provide a perfect spot to unwind while soaking in the breathtaking views.
These windows, equipped with glazing and automated drapes, seamlessly integrate indoor and outdoor spaces, enhancing the sense of openness and tranquility.
A carefully crafted wall panel, complemented by an accent wall light above the bed, adds visual interest and texture to the room's aesthetic.
A minimal golden-colored chandelier illuminates the space with understated elegance, while table lights and wall-hung lights on either side of the bed provide additional ornamental touches, accentuating the chosen color palette.
The inclusion of a wall mural adds a touch of personality and charm to the space, infusing it with character and warmth.
Stepping onto the balcony reveals a cozy mini coffee bar and leisure seating, inviting occupants to relax and enjoy the panoramic views, completing the harmonious blend of comfort, functionality, and aesthetic appeal in this thoughtfully designed bedroom
