The aim of the Gig Poster project was a project that required us to create a poster of a band while using a real world picture we took. I decided on the band Good Kid and began to brainstorm using a mind map that correlated ideas the band was tied to. Afterwards I drew thumbnails to aid in reinforcing the concepts I was aiming for.

After sorting key aspects within the mind map and correlating them with the thumbnails i drew, I proceeded to create the poster. I focused on trying to keep within the style that they are known for and creating something original as well as using key components from their previous album covers and posters promoting past events. I used a photo of the sky I took and used Adobe Illustrator to create this original poster for their new tour.
