Amut - one of the most unique places not only in Russia. This small landslide lake near my hometown Komsmolska-on-Amur. Situated at an altitude 761.5 meters and a depth of about 70. But the place is famous not by the lake. It is famous for its wildlife, fortunately not yet strongly affected by human activities. Here now recreation and several ski slopes. But mostly they are wild. Lots of people come here to winter ride on 2-3 meter snow cover and enjoying magnificent scenery. A lot of my friends ride here on a snowboard. Another uniqueness of this place, it is the presence of snow from early October to mid-June in some cases. At least here in May, still quietly snowboarding in 20 degree heat.

 

While My preparation continues for to Sakhalin, which you can read here and contribute, I visit the neighborhood of Komsomolsk. I go to the villages with indigenous people, just to beautiful places and of course shoot. And I could not ignore the Amut. Especially since I have not been here for over 4 years. I took my friends and we went.

 

Road to the Amut good now. We drove fast. Left the car at the top and down to the lake. Walked around the lake and passed along the river flowing out of it. Little climb on the rocks and sat to enjoy nature. I suggest you and enjoy it. And if you have at least one opportunity to visit this place, do not miss it.
