Approach
This project was inspired by my zine project in GAD 2001. I enjoyed applying duotone to different images, so I wanted to incorporate this aspect into my digital imaging project. I havent done many self portraits so I believed this was the chance to create something that I would love. The idea came from a bouquet of flowers that I made. I absolutely adore flowers and the ones that I collected were in a vibrant shade of pink. I figured it would bring some color to my self portrait. For this project, I edited the raw photos, masked them, and transferred them to another psd file. There, I edited all of them into duotone. Which I then transferred to my final project final. This video was created using the timeline feature in photoshop. I played around with the opacity timeline to transition from each image. It brought forth a wonderful result that I am proud off.
Process
Photos
Background was removed from raw photos.
Masking Frames
Layer masks were applied, and flowers added. Each photo was then imported into separate photoshop files to apply duotone.
Applying Duotone
The idea here was to choose colors that contrast each other. When the frame would switch the colors would "move". You can see what I mean when the green and orange duotone switches to blue and purple in the video.
