In each succession of generations, we pass on a chain; ensnaring the world with all its traps. From the results of dredging the contents of the earth, it forged a sense of greed for the sake of freedom that was never ours; and come in for continuing to the next generations.

This is something that we perpetuate in every generation—a chain of worldly passions that inevitably spreads until it sprouts strangely. In the period that we are currently exploring, the revolving of this chain was also complicated by the digitalization that triggered the will of material things. Our arrival in the virtual world refracts the handshake between us and undermines the relationship that was originally a bridge of values between individuals. As a result, we only get more entangled and trapped.

Therefore, in this work, I present imagery of the hands from cross-generations who are in chains; a metaphor for the trap of material desire. As a crystallization of the digital era, this work is generated by AI, which I then distorted as a form of torn-apart values. In the process, I instructed the Image Generator Machine to present an image with a prompt that requested a photo as a result. These photos are printed on the back side of the linen paper to feature pixel lines. Then I distorted the printed results through a scanography process to reinforce the idea that was being carried. In the end, the resulting photos are then completed with digital imaging, which breaks down the colors and adjusts the final proportions.

I demonstrated the reality of being trapped in the greed of the world and, ironically, continuing to perpetuate this snare for future generations.
