Santa Marta Lighthouse by Aries Mateus
An adaptive reuse project. Originally built as a fortification in the 14th century, it was later adorned with a lighthouse in 1866. Today, the space has been restructured to adapt to contemporary needs. The 'inhabited wall' is the extension of the fortification wall which was then excavated to create usable spaces.
