The Loneliness of the King
Once upon a time, when he was able to resist his own ego and arrogance, he was King and his country was prosperous and glorious. His people were respectful and loyal to him. The King's greed caused him to lose the lands he once ruled. Not knowing where to stop, the King became angry, cruel and looked down on his people. But it took years for the king to realize that just as diamonds are worthless and people drink them for their value, the king was worthless without his people by his side. Now, as he waited for the day he would die alone in his castle, his loneliness became his only loyal companion.
