The Dentist Fact Box

This was a small project that was created to show what the dentist profession was like in the 1800’s. The 1800’s was a gruesome time as well as the start of the industrial revolution. I wanted to combine these two elements and create a fun way to showcase it. The box was designed to look like a smaller version of a dentist toolbox from that era with gears added to represent the industrial age. Inside contains business cards, fact book, a dental chart and two glass vials one containing teeth and the other containing cocaine which was used as an anesthetic.
The cogs are made from acrylic and painted gold for that steampunk look, the dentist title has been laser etched into the side of the box. The black business cards have also been laser etched on to thick card and the box has been stained brown to give it that old vintage look.
