Final result

I made a quick pencil sketch and thought I would leave it there. I wasn't pretty happy how it turned out but  I liked the expression of the eyes

I scanned  my pencil artwork and started to paint over it. First I blocked the main shape of the head and added ambient occlusion layer on top

Then I added local colors for the eyes, nose etc.

Here I started to add lights

Here I added the body and the hair

Here I added few small details and made a chin more pronounced
