This year was my second time hosting the Lettering Style Challenge and I couldn't be happier with how it went!

Many creatives (myself included) participated in the challenge and posted daily lettering artworks on Instagram following the provided prompt list during the entire month of October.

The goal was to improve our lettering skills and discover our unique lettering style. I believe in doing the work you want to be hired for and taking the time to work on your portfolio, and this was the perfect opportunity to do just that!

Rules: Use any medium to create a lettering piece each day for 31 days (starting on October 1st) following the provided hand lettering and typography prompts.

Theme: My main objective for this challenge was to delve deeper into the intricate world of letterforms and their ability to convey powerful messages. To achieve this, I used highly decorative lettering styles that helped me tell whimsical and fantastical stories to captivate and inspire the viewer. By meticulously crafting each letter, I wanted to create a unique narrative that was both visually appealing and deeply meaningful. That's why I got the idea to recreate 31 famous works of fiction, from ancient epics to modern classics. 📖👇🏽

Not only did this challenge allow me to flex my creative muscles, but it also helped me to explore new techniques and styles that I can incorporate into my work moving forward.
