“Becoming visible by accident” foi produzido no Porto Design Summer School, uma mentoria de duas semanas com Andrew Howard, André Cruz, Hamish Muir e Lizá Ramalho. No projeto editorial em questão, foi sugerido que as escolhas gráficas do livro fossem pautadas e discutidas dentro de nuances da leitura e percepções do texto “Cidades Invisíveis” de Ítalo Calvino, além de dois outros contos que foram escolhidos: “Becoming the baby girl” de Adachioma Ezeano e “Accident” de Dave Eggers.
Este trabalho foi feito em colaboração com as designers Carolina Caldas de Portugal, Veronika Kelly da Austrália e Aonich Touch do Camboja. Foram discutidas maneiras de representação editorial de conceitos como mapas, fragmentação, territorialidade, urbanismo e experiências com livros e cidades.
“Becoming visible by accident” was produced at Porto Design Summer School, a two-week mentorship with Andrew Howard, André Cruz, Hamish Muir and Lizá Ramalho. In the editorial project in question, it was suggested that the book's graphic choices should be guided and discussed within the nuances of reading and perceptions of the text “Invisible Cities” by Ítalo Calvino, in addition to two other short stories that were chosen: “Becoming the baby girl” by Adachioma Ezeano and “Accident” by Dave Eggers.
