Weapon, gamemode and an enemy in an unfamiliar engine.

A game mode, a weapon and an enemy.  A Systems Design exercise and an adaptability lesson
This was my first assignment as student at the beginning of my exchange year at BUas. In this block, I learned Godot from scratch. For me was a massive lesson on adaptability, on how to adapt myself to Godot, understand how it works, its principles and how GDScript allows it to work correctly plus still adapting to the learning system of BUas at that time. All of it without any lecture on it and in 7 weeks.
The exercise consisted of creating the 3 different systems but making them correlate.
At the same time, an emphasis was given on sketching techniques and that as a game designer I visually communicate my gameplay ideas.
We were given a template in which the player, basic enemies and their spawn were already scripted. We needed to add a new enemy, a custom game mode, and a custom weapon.

The player template had preexisting weapons and a weapon selector. So I had to add a new weapon to the existing array. The player could dash, which is important for the emerging gameplay image from the one pager below.
