School project, September '23:

'SHAPE & CONTRAST'
We were asked to create a folder containing different shapes and contrasts to create an experience. Using colours, hard - and soft shapes, repetition, size, white-space and composition ect., we could chance the perception of the image.

I chose to paint a portrait (Procreate) of my roomie Mie. I used the face and the hand to give a sense of gravity and a different focal point in each version.
I used the background a lot, to give a different sense of depth and weight.

Repeating the same image throughout the process, gave me a clear understanding of how the placement, colour and size of a motive gives it character, as well as it's relation to the surroundings.

The artworks are created with a CMYK colour palette, to make an easy transition unto the final print.
