Approach
This brand takes a lighthearted and fun view of dental care. Being aimed towards children, it leans into the theme of UFOs and aliens, the acronym of the business even being UFO. It uses light and bright colors to help bring a fun and less frightful feeling to children, reminiscent of something like Safari Smiles. The logo, lettering, and color palette are meant to bring a feeling of nostalgia, more like something you would see aimed towards kids in the 80's to 2000's. Oftentimes more modern design has greyed and sleeked down even things aimed at children, bringing back that colorful play place feeling for kids would help it feel a lot less clinical. The use of gradients on the logos and patterns of the hand lettering was inspired by 80's logos and Memphis Design.
