Whistle Bottle Opener

Created without knowing anything about whistle or bottle opener design, both of which are deceptive in their simple form. The first prototype, created only minutes after the idea was concieved, consisted of a scrap piece of steel tubing cut with a hand grinder and stuffed with modeling clay.
Once we arrived at a final secification, we cut the tubing to length on a metal lathe and manually machined them on a vertical manual mill. Twenty of the final product were made by hand to sell at a holiday design pop-up. They worked great, but as always, they could be better...

Created in collaboration with Brandon Myers and Stephen Guglielmo.
