When humans entered a higher level of civilization, the conflicts between countries and nations intensified, and wars followed. At this time, masks were called a kind of armor worn by people. They were usually made of steel. It is brutal and terrifying, and its purpose is only to protect the user's head or to intimidate the enemy. When humans were no longer barbaric, masks became a decoration again, frequently appearing at dinner parties and dances. They were usually gorgeous, adding a touch of mystery to people's identities. However, due to human development's excessive demands on the environment, various diseases still threaten fragile human lives, and people have to wear heavy medical masks to prevent the spread of viruses. Since humankind invented nuclear bombs, hydrogen bombs, and other weapons of mass destruction, nuclear war has become a haze that envelopes all society. Humanity has the ultimate power to destroy its civilization. The mask is equipped with a filter tank to survive the radiation, and even human breathing must be completed through the mask. Masks, whether their design, the culture they represent, or even the meaning of their existence themselves, have been changing with the development of human civilization.
NARRATIVE FRAMEWORK
The story occurs on Earth in 2077, the first year after a full-scale nuclear war. When a nuclear war broke out, people hid in air-raid shelters buried deep underground and survived on the most straightforward food and shelter. A year later, many brave people chose to put on masks and return to the surface to explore to rebuild their homes. This mask was born to prevent radiation intrusion and maintain a basic life-support system. Due to the lack of supplies, the mask presents a Cubist splicing style. Prevent radiation from intruding on the human body and serve as an essential life support system.
CONCEPT - IDEA
Metal cans are industrial products, but industrial progress has brought disasters one after another. In the development process, humans have been demanding from nature, which will directly lead to the destruction of the earth's ecology. Once the ecology is out of balance, unfortunate things such as viruses, plagues, and species extinction will feed back to humans in despair. Once humans have the power to destroy their civilization, the mask will become a part of humanity. The mask protects humans as if it should have been on the human face. The shiny metal cans and life-sustaining oxygen tubes on the mask also symbolize mankind's courage and determination to explore.
