When casting Mother Morphine, it was very important to the director and I that the actors involved understood the heaviness of the topic of the film. We wanted the actors to be comfortable with that was going to be portrayed on screen and I'm glad we were transparente with them. In the end, it not only created a beautiful film but everyone involved was comfortable and proud of what was made.
