For this project, I was asked to create a graphic of a song lyric or poem of my choice. I chose a line from one of my favorite songs, Bonnie Raitt's "Angel from Montgomery." The lyrics are doleful but powerful so I wanted a graphic that was dark and strong like the song itself. I chose this stormy background to mirror the words "thunder" and "lightning." I also went with two typefaces. The main body of the text is in a tall and sketchy type while I have chosen to highlight the words "burned down," by using a larger quick-scrawl font that blends with the lightning in the background to appear as if it had been set fire by the bolt.
