The Steel Road is a reflection of my experience riding the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad.
I was amazed by the grace of the train, rustic and historic, as it sailed down the steel tracks. Surrounded by the beauty of the Cuyahoga National Park, I felt transported back in time.
The wooden chest, series of six train tickets and other print pieces are all
reminiscent of capturing my memorable ride down this steel road.

LEATHER WALLET PROCESS

The leather wallet was made by hand to custom fit the train tickets series of cards.
The wallet was made from vegetable tan leather. I trimmed the leather pieces, dyed
them by hand, burnished the edges, stitched and waxed to a final polish.
