I have always been a fan of playing video games in my free time. During the summer of 2022 I discovered a game called Knockout City, an online multiplayer dodgeball/fighting or "dodgebrawl" game by Velan Studios. 

I was a fan of what the game had to offer in its player customization, storytelling, artstyle, and team collaboration. I found myself drawing characters I had made in the game along with backgrounds seen in the game in my free time. I got the attention of some of the game developers, and they ended up showing some of my fan art in their newsletter. 

During the summer of 2023, Knockout City ended up shutting down their official public servers, shutting down the game. Though the game was short lived, Valen studios used some of my fan art to say their final goodbyes to their community. They even created an official artbook detailing the vast artwork and concept art that makes up Knockout City. I was asked once again to feature my art in their book. I was even sent a copy! A bittersweet end to one of my favorite games. Still something I am very proud to share in this portfolio.
