Sword & Plough is the only quadruple bottom line bag company that works with veterans to create fashionable and durable bags from recycled military surplus. The company was founded by Emily and Betsy Nunez after Emily had trouble sharing her commitment to our country with her classmates.

The name comes from the old saying “To turn swords into plough shares”. They take military technologies and apply them to peaceful useful civilian applications.

I wanted the brand to be as powerful as their story. To encompass honor, tradition and durability but also contrast the tragedy our servicemen face with the peaceful lives of civilians. I expanded the idea so that the company not only sells repurposed bags but also gloves, jackets, hats and leather boots.

The icons were applied to small buttons for customers to pin on their S&P bags and jackets. They are also to be used for the business cards. Whichever brand you are affliated with is shown on the front of the cards, with your name and info on the back.
