My daughter and I spent three weeks brainstorming this photoshoot. We changed the concept and theme several times. My goal was to try myself in a new role, move away from events, and work one-on-one with the model. My daughter's goal was to try herself as a model. This was the first experience of this kind of shoot for both of us. We chose evening time and street lighting.
We wanted to highlight the beauty of adolescence: you can put on makeup, wear a dress, starry socks, tie sneakers on your ankles, sit on the sidewalk with a stray cat. Mix adult and childlike and it will suit you. Be graceful and clumsy at the same time. You can afford it all and be beautiful in all of it.
