< Involution >
In this project, the diverse pressures faced by Chinese citizens in the involution environment are discussed in the form of a picture book. The huge population base in China makes the competition for jobs increasingly intense. People constantly give away their spare time to work to compete for the limited resources, and this facilitates the capitalists to squeeze the base labor groups. The comparison of education background incurred by the problems of employment is directly reflected on children, many of whom even take in excessive subject training from kindergarten. If things continue this way, the involution will spread from the survival and development problems of mankind to various aspects of life. Among them, the representative problem, anxiety of appearance, pushes women to a more rigorous social situation. Combining these three groups of people and relevant real examples, I divide the stories of the picture book into four parts to present the practical problems faced by people who are in the involution oppression from different perspectives.
