Did you know that in one of the octagonal towers at today's entrance to Felix Romuliana you can see many pawprints in the floor bricks?
The vast majority are cat marks, but there are also dog and bird tracks. The mark with the most interesting story is the track of the cat that has caught a mouse. lt's belived that after the bricks were crafted out of red clay and set in the sun to dry, a cat accidentally (on purpose) stepped on one of the bricks leaving its mark.
