Social media builds networks that, besides aiding collaboration and progess, also create echo bubbles, and help populism and fake news flourish.
Huginn and Muninn (thought and mind) are dead.
Athens, the goddess of wisdom is now merely a broken stone sculpture.
The leafs of ficus religiosa, the tree of enlightenment, are dried out and dead.
And the industry poisons the air.

But there is hope. The fruit of wisdom still carries fresh seeds. Hope amids the ruins.
