Elena Poniatowska Cultural Center and Library located in the city of Tultitlán just north of Mexico City, is a 222-meter-long public complex designed for the SEDATU's Urban Improvement Program (PMU).

Three single-level buildings with generous skylights and courtyards are connected by a central pedestrian walkway that cuts across a superblock-sized urban parcel. Taking cues from industrial typologies in the region, structural elements are color-coded as a way-finding device, orienting users towards programs and facilities that include an auditorium, health center, library, and music school. This complex brings a new pedestrian axis of human scale to the interior of an existing superblock and inserts essential public programs of health, culture and education.
