Illustrations for charity organization Rescue Now

Illustrations for a charity organization RescueNow as part of the SKVOT.IO school course. As part of the course, we were asked to make illustrations for three hashtags which the organization uses to post in Instagram. I chose the one called "Alarm, evacuation!", "Feedback" and "Story of evacuation".
First one "Alarm, evacuation!" shows "flashing light" as a signal, as an alarm, a notification like "hey, pay attention!". And the backpack-house as a symbolizing how people pack their whole life in suitcases and backpacks during evacuation. I didn't want the illustrations to be sad or too serious, because the foundation also works with kids and I saw from previous posts on Instagram that they are open to new ideas so i used such "childish" and naive artstyle.
The "Evacuation stories" are depicted as a book volumes (stories as books, textbooks, novels, etc.). Every publication here is different in size and content, but they are united by a specific theme. In front of it, a person running for the exit is pictured as a schematic man like those from the evacuation markings, an association that all of us are familiar with.
The inspiration for the Feedback rubric came from bats and their ability to echolocate. The sounds they make help them navigate in the dark. People also find it easier to navigate when receiving feedback. The logic is feedback -> echo -> echolocation (here is an annomination in Ukrainian). The bat receives feedback in emojis, which are so often
used on social media.

Thanks for watching!
