Revitalizing Spaces: Home Transformed with Elegance
Located in the heart of Carrasco, this single-family home, which was originally a one-story dwelling, transformed into a charming two-story mansion. The renovation created a space so cozy for its residents that it feels like an oasis in the middle of a desert.
From the very beginning, the homeowner had a clear vision for their home's transformation. Their top priority was a new master suite with a spacious closet and bathroom. They also aimed to expand the kitchen and living space, creating a functional area for family activities.

After understanding their needs and design preferences, a plan emerged. A new story was created to locate the master suite. A north-facing terrace was added, accessible through a door-window. This terrace, now a covered hall at ground level, elegantly welcomes visitors into the house.
Facade building process
The facade features a smooth plaster finish with ornamental moldings in the same material, offering a classic and fresh look. The upper floor extension boasts traditional walls and a lightweight roof topped with colonial-style tiles, blending classic and modern elements in a timeless manner
On the main floor, a couple of walls were removed to connect the dining room seamlessly to the kitchen via a serving hatch. This allowed for both an open feel and the option to keep the kitchen separate. The expansion also improved access to the backyard. Additionally, this extension facilitated the addition of a social bathroom near the stairs and a full bathroom between the ground-floor bedrooms.
