Proposed new leisure centre complex for Bransholme.
Project Brief:
This project was based in Bransholme, located North East Hull, this area was selected due to being highly deprived, and effected by flooding. Through site analysis, flooding was highlighted as one of the first aspects to overcome with regard to master planning Bransholme, permeability within the area was also a factor which
was to be tackled at the early stages coinciding with the flooding data, to ensure the best location of new roads links, in and out of Bransholme are proposed at the master planning stage, to help redevelopment progress in the near future. Through the detailed design stage, promoting a HEALTHIER community for the future was the main focus.

The facility was to be a new leisure centre for the area, the site located for the facility was more central to Bransholme providing more people easy access, and is less likely to be effected by flooding than the current centre to the South.
The new facility will provide for the whole community, but more so linking with the surrounding schools in the area, as figures indicating the average activity within the areas is only 14.3% of people doing the recommended sports per week, this facility will aim to improve on these figures also well as become a new point of reference within bransholme.
