El Soñador (Paper cutout)

After deciding to venture into the field of fine arts, I figured why not go big or go home.

This is the very first piece I create of this scale using paper cutting as a medium. In reality it’s the first piece I ever create of this scale, period. The paper cut out itself is about 3’ by 4’, while the entire piece with the frame is about 4’ by 5’. This piece was cut out of a single sheet of black butcher paper using an Xacto knife and plenty of patience. The frame was custom built out of wood and Plexiglas to create, perhaps, the largest floating frame ever.
Special thanks to Peter-John Campbell for editing my video despite my crappy footage.
Thanks for viewing!
