Restelo Colective Housing Project | 2023
A terrain of the combination of different social classes in need of an ecological urban regeneration that expands to the surroundings in the search for human life.
Angular shapes, derived from the lines of the surroundings, create two long but spindly buildings. Between them, a square with a driving angle of vision, creating an effect of suspense over the Tejo River.
The unevenness of the street allows to conceive a level plan in full continuity with all the roads, where the different levels allow to create two commercial spaces, which in conjunction with the architectural voids invite the inhabitants to inhabit the space.
The void is the soul of the Project, a key element! They are spaces of invitation and contemplation, as if it were an interval of time, the necessary breath to feel and live the space!
A left-right dwelling, where the flexibility of the dwelling and the communication between all spaces is ensured. Large windows, from top to bottom, independent of function, allowing an integral combination with the landscape; while the combination of natural materials with industrial ones provides the harmony and comfort desired, establishing an interior - exterior relationship.
