MELBOURNE INNOVATION DISTRICTS
Created in the midst of crucial transitions to the urban economic and social structure of Melbourne, Melbourne Innovation Districts (MID) seizes the moment of opportunity to reimagine and redefine pockets of the city that are experiencing major short-term disruption and rapid long-term change, for the better. The following are concepts developed as an update to an initial identity that was created in 2015. MID's updated identity centres on placemaking – positioning each of the eight districts as revitalised locations where exciting things are happening, and where the change makers of Melbourne want to find themselves in.
