Curatorial // Student Show: Internship Preparation

RED
Society Hill Synagogue April 4th – April 29th, 2014 Opening Reception: Friday, April 4th, 2014 4:30-7pm

Please join Moore College of Art & Design and The Internship Preparation and Professional Development Students for the opening reception of Red. Red is a collaborative show organized and curated by twelve of Moore College of Art and Design’s Fine Arts and Photography & Digital Art majors. Red explores themes surrounding the history and power associated with the color red and how its dominance plays a large role in shaping the artists’ understanding of natural and fab- ricated cultural landscapes.

By showing work from both Photography & Digital Arts and Fine Arts majors, Red hopes to shed light on the dynamism of this color, and show how the color can be re-contextualized and interpreted by artists working in separate, but parallel mediums, enhancing its strength and meaning.

Participating Artists:
Alyssa Dempsey, Danielle Goodhart, Elizabeth Harris, Jocelyn MacDonald, Nicole Melnicky, Carolyn Pucci, Elizabeth Stricker, Victoria Tolley, Amy Trout, Caitlin Tschanz, Elissa Tuerk, Kelisa Valinote
