I got the chance to design the Tool Card Deck for my university - University Of The Arts London, Media School at London College Of Communication.
This deck provides a variety of ways to capture information from students. Many of these teachers may already be doing. All are developed from ways used by other organisations to gather feedback.
Teachers are probably using many of these sorts of tools to collect general feedback around learning or experience, or both, in an action-research way – without relying on surveys.
To make them useful for evaluation, teachers need to direct them to the question they want to answer so they get the data that held them. Some of these have related worksheets that can be adapted to their specific situation.
They are designed to be relatively quick and should also be useful for
students in that they may help them reflect on or consolidate their learning.
