The Interactive Pop-Up Book for DEEP DARK FEARS is my immersive and innovative design that showcases Fran Krause's vivid illustrations in a fun and engaging way, combining the charm of pop-up books with interactive elements.
I got inspired by Fran Krause's illustrated comics. By leveraging the captivating concept of unlikely but plausible fears brought to life through vivid illustrations, my goal was to transform this idea into an interactive pop-up book that would resonate with readers. I utilized Fran Krause's original drawings while making slight modifications using Adobe Illustrator to enhance their suitability for the pop-up book format. The illustrations were well printed and hand-bound and I crafted the cover using cardboard and other materials, ensuring a lasting impression that reflects the uniqueness of the project.
I borrowed the game mode from Rusty Lake game, infusing the book with clickable features that trigger dangerous scenarios and offer game props as rewards. This merging of traditional pop-up book design and interactive gaming elements would ensure an immersive and memorable reading experience.
