'Flower Bomb' was derived from a poem by Boona Mohammed title, 'For the Love', where he states '...kill in her [Islam's] name, but her name comes from peace.' The piece is derived from the conceptual form of a bomb and spells out the word salam [peace] in arabic. The ring that ties the piece together is the letter alif which is the first letter of the word Islam in arabic. 'Flower Bomb'  functions as a base, therefore once flowers [a global sign of peace] are placed in it, the piece becomes complete with the true practices and teaches of the religion Islam.

If only we could throw flower bombs instead.
